Our Moblie APP VeriKey collects some Personal Data from its Users.

Personal Data we collect

Among the types of Personal Data that this Application collects are:

• User name
• Mobile phone number
• Password
• Camera permission
• Wireless scanning permission
• Background location access permission(User-selectable option)

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using this Application. Unless specified otherwise, all Data requested by this Application is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for this Application to provide its services. In cases where this Application specifically states that some Data is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without consequences to the availability or the functioning of the Service.

The purposes of use

The Data concerning the User is collected to allow us to provide its Service, comply with its legal obligations, protect its rights and interests, and detect any malicious or fraudulent activity. Personal Data is collected for the following purposes and using the following services:

Registration and authentication are provided directly by this Application

By registering or authenticating, Users allow this Application to identify them and give them access to dedicated services. The Personal Data is collected and stored for registration or identification purposes and shared with the property owner or operator described within “Sharing Personal Data”.

• User name
• mobile phone number
• password

Device permissions for Personal Data access

Depending on the User’s specific device, this Application may request certain permissions that allow it to access the User’s device Data as described below. By default, these permissions must be granted by the User before the respective information can be accessed. Once permission has been given, it can be revoked by the User at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, Users may refer to the device settings or our support page. If the User grants any of the permissions listed below, the respective Personal Data may be processed (i.e accessed to, modified, or removed) by this Application.

Camera permission

Used for accessing the camera to scan the QR code.

Wireless scanning permission

Used for accessing Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to search or connect VeriKey devices (our smart-lock products). These scanning results include some location information.

Background location access permission(User-selectable option)

Used for accessing Bluetooth or GPS information to detect and determine proximity to VeriKey devices (our smart-lock products). This process enables to unlock of the door automatically(background unlock mode). If the User denies this permission, the User can use APP as a smart-lock key in the foreground instead of the background unlock mode.

Mode and place of processing the Data

Methods of processing

We take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.

Sharing Personal Data

We do not sell, otherwise disclose or share data we collect and hold about User, except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share Users Personal Data if one of the following applies:

• To provide Users identification to the property owner or operator who allows User to enter their rooms
• To provide Users access history of the specific door to the property owner or operator who allowed Users to enter their rooms
• To comply with a legal obligation
• To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
• To protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public

Place

The Data is processed at our operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Depending on the User’s location, data transfers may involve transferring the User’s Data to a country other than their own.

Retention time

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for. Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted.

Withdraw User consent

Users can withdraw consent where they have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Data at any time.

Delete User Personal Data

Users can delete their Personal Data by deleting their User account from APP.

Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase: Google Analytics process personal data. The personal data is limited to so-called “instance IDs”, which are provided with a time stamp. These “Instance IDs” assigned by Firebase are unique and thus allow the linking of different events or processes. This data does not represent personally identifiable information for us. We process these aggregated data to analyze and optimize usage behavior, for example by evaluating crash reports. uses the data to provide analytics and attribution information. System logs and maintenance

For operation and maintenance purposes, this Application may collect files that record interaction with this Application (System logs) for this purpose.

Changes to this privacy policy

we reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its Users on this page and possibly within this Application by sending a notice to Users. Should the changes affect processing activities performed on the basis of the User’s consent, we shall collect new consent from the User, where required.
